Preventing damage to pipes
Coating pipepines is essential. Pipeline coating is an essential asset. Pipelines, be it for the oil industry or for the passage of water, have to endure a lot. Take, for example, the transport of (dangerous) substances, a constant load on the material or pressure from outside.
Pipelines that are continuously exposed to atmospheric, chemical and mechanical influences are eventually attacked either from the inside or the outside. Without treatment, the risk of leaks and defects increases, with all the associated consequences.
Coating the outside
Within the product program of Prokol there are various systems for treating pipes on the outside, which vary from corrosion classes C1 to C5. You can opt for a FerroTeQ system based on polyaspartic technology or a hotspray system based on polyurea.
Coating the inside
Coating pipes on the inside is an increasingly common application. In many cases, pipes, whether underground or in buildings, cannot be replaced and treating the inside becomes the only option. Prokol has the fitting knowledge and technology. In this case, a spray head is introduced to the front of a pipe, while it is slowly withdrawn. Rotation techniques coat the inside with a new liner. The coating reacts quickly which put the pipes back into service fairly quickly. This technique is available for both thin and thick pipes. In this way e.g. the existing drainage pipes of old buildings are easily made watertight again.
